Air: Travel to Bombay is relatively easy as there is an extensive network of flights from Bombay. Being India's international gateway, Bombay has the busiest airports in the country. Bombay is well served by its international airport, which connects to all other parts of the world - the Sahar International Airport now called Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. It serves as one of India's major international airports. The terminal is at Sahar, which is 30 km north of the city center. Santa Cruz is the domestic airport, which serves to the other destinations within India. The domestic terminal at Santa Cruz is just 4 km away, is also the busiest domestic air network in the country.
Rail: Bombay is a prominent railway hub of the country. It is the headquarters to two railway zones, Central and Western. The main railway station is Victoria Terminal, now renamed Chattrapati Shivaji Terminal. Bombay Central and Dadar serve as the main stations for all long distance trains. Church Gate and Victoria Terminus bring in teeming populace of the Metropolis from the suburban areas. These intra city trains are the fastest and cheapest way to move around in Bombay. Express and super-fast trains are available for most of the Indian cities from Bombay.
Road: Bombay is well connected to all the major cities of India through a well-worked-out road network and highways. There are various state managed and private operated transport facilities for local transportations and for intercity drives to choose from for pleasant and smooth travel to Bombay.
