Qutub Minar
Qutub Minar is the biggest example of the Delhi Sultanate's monumental legacy. It was built by Qutb-u'd-Din Aibak in 1199 AD for the use of Mu'azzin (crier) to give calls for prayer. Qutb-u'd-Din Aibak constructed only the first story. Later his successor and son-in-law, Shamsu'd-Din IItutmish added three more storeys to it. Each story is surrounded by an encircled balcony and supported by stone brackets.
